“Models or visual representations are used to illustrate what is done in a particular process. Having a model, along with a written description of a process, supports the coach to articulate what they do. It also gives the client a visual to understand what the coaching process will look like.
By having a clearly defined model, the coach will have an easier time explaining to potential clients what will take place during the coaching sessions. Having a model illuminates what the coach does. Articulating a model supports the coaching process by giving it credence and allowing the coach to clearly distinguish what they do and how it is different from other professions.” ICA (the Coaching Model)
